Movie Night: Dom Hemingway

Even though that the movie Dom Hemingway ended only to be average, I find it worthy of your attention. Maybe just because I was really, really looking forward to see Jude Law as fat, old and somehow disgusting man. Don't forget those man boobs.

Characters.
Dom Hemingway. Narcissistic man in his fifties. Unbroken drunkard, notorious liar with only one problem which is money. But I have to admit, that with all his bad luck and cheese character traits, he is able to see himself as the most clever human being.

As a more reasonable guy is portrayed Doms best (probably) friend Dickie Black. He is portrayed as man of reason and wit. He is beacon of light for messed up Dom! But at the same time he encourages Dom to carry out his mad schemes.

Story.
Movie will roll in few short chapters. Story is set in London ( not sure about it). After leaving prison Dom is desperately trying to "hunt down" money. Of course it is not as smooth as he would imagine. He encounters two main problems. His ego and Romanian slut Paolina. As the story continues it might seem that Dom is evolving to a new level, better human being. But luckily no! Movie doesn't use this cliche! And lets us watch this old chap to live another shitty day.

Overall thoughts.
Lovely British accent. Sarcasm and dark humor. Naked Jude Law in the orchard. Not the best, but still very funny comedy about low class criminal. And you will really appreciate that ending is not that cliche transformation thing.
